Aurora Travel Baseball will host two tournaments in the 2017 season.
The 8th Annual Spring Fling Tournament will be held Friday, May 5th through Sunday, May 7th, 2017.
The 7th Annual Summer Heat Tournament will be held Friday, June 9th through Sunday, June 11th, 2017.
Both tournaments will be held in Aurora, IL at several newly renovated Fox Valley Park District fields.

Aurora Travel Baseball is opening a 16,000 square foot indoor facility located in Aurora, IL.
This facility will feature a full infield, that will be 80’ wide by 120’ long and will accommodate a full infield for all age groups up to and including 13U. 14U and above will be able to use the facility and can be used for full infield by hitting from home plate to 2nd and 1st base, then moving to where third base would be to hit to 3rd and SS. The height of this area is 23’ at peak and 19’ at lowest point.
When this infield is being utilized for 13u and under, there will be the following cages available:
4 – 12’ wide by 70’ long cages to be utilized for pitching or hitting (each cage will have a portable pitching mounds or L – screens and will be fully enclosed)
When this infield is being utilized for 14u and above, there will be 3 cages that can be used in addition to the field.
If no infield is being used, then there will be a total of 10 cages that are 12’ wide by 70’ long. These 70’ cages can be broken up as well into two sections. A hitting cage at one end with an L screen, and the other end can be used for soft toss and t-work.
In addition, there is second connected room that is 60’ x 100’ and has 20’ high ceilings that will be broken up as follows:
Two 70’ pitching lanes, three 12’ x 55’ long hitting tunnels/pitching lanes.
Three to five t-stations (all enclosed)
Workout area of approximately 1,000 square feet. Will include weights and kettle balls.
Band work station of approximately 450 square feet with 10 arm band stations.
We will have 2 to 3 tunnels with automated pitching machines: Iron Mikes or other (equipped for baseball and softball)
We will have L-screens for each tunnel.
Additionally, this full infield area can be used for training for indoor soccer teams, softball teams, lacrosse teams and birthday parties.
We currently have several team spots open for this winter season. We can customize team packages for organizations or individual teams. We will also employ hitting, pitching and fielding coaches as well as strength and conditioning coaches if teams are looking for professional instruction.

Aurora Travel Baseball is hosting a Super Bowl Squares fundraiser for the 2017 Super Bowl.

Pool fees are $20 and since this is a fundraiser, 50% of the proceeds will go to the team and the other 50% will be paid out accordingly - $200 to first quarter winner, $200 to 2nd quarter winner, $200 to 3rd quarter winner and $400 to final score winner.

Aurora Travel Baseball is seeking qualified high school head coach (17u Red team) and youth travel baseball assistant coaches (11u - 14u) for the 2017 spring/summer season. These are part-time positions at each age group, which will conclude upon the completion of the 2017 summer season. This position will begin in August 2016 with weekly practices and fall baseball games in advance of preparing for winter workouts starting in late fall 2016 and will continue into the spring and summer season, wrapping up in mid to late July 2017.
Our program consists of non-parent coaching if possible and strives to prepare our kids to play at the next level. Our younger teams will focus on player development and building the bridge to the next year, while playing in very competitive tournaments. Our goals for our high school teams (15u - 18u) will be to participate in a number of top national collegiate showcase tournaments, which will provide access to numerous college coaches and pro scouts each and every game and tournament.
Responsibilities include on-field coaching, pregame preparation, practice organization, mentoring players, and day to day communication with players, parents, college coaches and scouts (at the high school level).
We are seeking candidates that have previous coaching or playing experience at the high school, college, or professional level. The candidate must have strong communication skills and knowledge in the game of baseball.
At the high school level, the candidate must be able to communicate to college coaches and scouts regarding the skill set and abilities of players. Further, the candidate must have schedule flexibility throughout the summer, as we play a very competitive national schedule.
