We are holding a private tryout for 13u and below on Wednesday, August 3, 2021 at 6pm at New Haven Park, 736 W. New Haven Ave, Aurora, IL

Tryouts for tonight are still on. The 9u-13u tryouts have been moved to Hoscheit East Park located at Mair Drive and Montgomery Road in Aurora, IL and are at the times listed below. No tryouts at Stuart Sports Complex tonight due to the rain.

The Aurora Thunder have announced tryout dates for the 2022 season. Please register in advance through our registration and plan on arriving 15 minutes early so that we can begin on-time.

We are not restricted to taking kids from Aurora only. We have kids from several surrounding communities that comprise our teams. If you cannot make these tryout dates, please contact us to set up a private tryout.
Please plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early for registration and warm ups. We will begin each tryout promptly at the designated tryout time.
Due to COVID-19, Aurora Baseball & Softball Academy, shut down effective March 2020 and will look to reopen this fall.
We will offer individual training, team training, classes and camps for hitting, pitching and catching for all ages. We will also conduct team training and have rental space available for teams or individuals. All cages are 14' wide, with 5 of them at 70' long.
We will have HitTrax, Rapsodo (for pitching) and utilize Driveline Pitching Program. Additionally we have a full weight room and cardio area for team or individual strength and conditioning training. 3 month (only 30 will be made available) and Annual Memberships (only 50 will be made available) with unlimited access to the facility will be discounted during the grand opening. Classes, clinics and 1:1 training can be booked on-line or in-person.
With over 12,000 square feet of space, there will be plenty of space to address your training needs

Aurora Travel Baseball is seeking qualified coaches for our 12U and 13U teams and assistant coaches for 2023 season at (12U, 13U, 14U and 17U/18U) These are part-time positions at each age group, which will conclude upon the completion of the 2022 summer season. This position will begin in August 2022 with potential weekly practices and fall baseball games in advance of preparing for winter workouts starting in winter 2022/2023 and will continue into the spring and summer season, wrapping up in mid to late July 2023.
Our program consists of non-parent coaching if possible and strives to prepare our kids to play at the next level. Our younger teams will focus on player development and building the bridge to the next year, while playing in very competitive tournaments. Our goals for our high school teams (15u - 18u) will be to participate in a number of top national collegiate showcase tournaments, which will provide access to numerous college coaches and some scouts at most games/tournaments.
Responsibilities include on-field coaching, pregame preparation, practice organization, mentoring players, and day to day communication with players, parents, college coaches and scouts (at the high school level).
We are seeking candidates that have previous coaching or playing experience at the high school, college, or professional level. The candidate must have strong communication skills and knowledge in the game of baseball.
At the high school level, the candidate must be able to communicate to college coaches and scouts regarding the skill set and abilities of players. Further, the candidate must have schedule flexibility throughout the summer, as we play a very competitive schedule throughout the Midwest.

The Aurora Thunder will host our 7th Annual Poker and Bags Tournament on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at Bliss Creek Golf Club in the Pine Room, located at 1 Golfview Road, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Event will run from 5pm to 1am CST.
Bags Registration is closed as of 10pm on Feb 23rd, 2018. Poker registration is still open.

Thunder 17u players named all-conference:
Jacob Gray was named 1st team All-Conference in the Upstate 8 as a junior as well as a nomination by the conference coaches to the Chicagoland Classic Collegiate Showcase. It is a two day showcase event with the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of more than 100 college coaches and professional scouts. Coaches from the Big 10, Big XII, Pac 12, SEC, Ivy League, several Division II and Division III schools and U.S. service academies are registered to attend.
Caleb Ziehr, also a junior, was named 2nd team All-Conference in the Big Northern Conference. Caleb was also nominated to play in a conference tournament featuring all conference players from the Big Northern Conference and the NIC 10 Conference later this summer.
